13th Jewish Summer Festival - bar micvo...... dance, theatre, music, street fest and bazaar. Main performances in the Synagogue in Dohany utca, and bazaar in Gozsdu Udvar... but many other places are involved as well. Check their site for deatiled info, there is plenty of stuff going on.
ARC - Billboard Exhibition
ARC is a yearly competition of artists and non artists, making billboards... addressing the general issues of today, like globalization, urbanization, discrimination, social and political, environmental problems and such. This years question was; 'Where do you belong?' The winning one hundred are exhibited on 56-osok tere, by the City Park. They are funny and sharp and ironic and are really to the point. You'll find out a lot about what Hungarians think and feel these days. Many speak by images only, some text that's in Hungarian you'll miss, unfortunately, but more and more of them have English text..... globalization.
